I live in Spokane, and I've done a few hikes in Douglas Creek Canyon this spring. I'm amazed that a rail line would even be considered in such a twisty, narrow canyon. It's been intriguing hiking the canyon and learning of its history. I'm a free lance writer and have pitched an article, which was accepted by a local outdoor magazine, OutThere Outdoors, published here in Spokane about not only hiking the canyon, but also touching on some history of the rail line. I've been reading a lot of your blog. I'm glad that someone like you has such an interest in this topic which has made obtaining information fairly easy. Thanks for all the work you have done. - James P. Johnson
Thank you!
