August 1983 Run

 Mansfield Local nearing the Palisades Siding at mile post 15 on August 1, 1983 in Moses Coulee.  This train is loaded down with wheat in 40' box cars that were filled on the Plateau.  Blair Kooistra photo.

Douglas Depot gets hammered

I.O.O.F Band plays at the Waterville Depot

Waterville Chapter of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows' band poses on the platform near the Depot on Rainier St. in 1910.  They were in attendance for the opening of the Waterville Railway Line from Douglas to Waterville.  The Mansfield Branch had been open a year earlier. 

 

Withrow Depot/Shop Diorama

HO scale diorama of the Withrow Depot after it was split in half and converted into a shop. Diorama measures 13" x 13". Withrow native Walter Nollmeyer, split and moved the depot in the 1940's and his son Terry Nollmeyer used it as his shop until he died in 1996.
